Abstract
Very few teenagers are aware of the importance of recognizing the concept of personal personality in Indonesia, even though the concept of self-preservation is one of the important things a teenager must understand so that he can maximize his teenage years and organize his life path as early as possible. This is supported by the difficulty of accessing information about this. Most books on personality consist of boring text and standard language so that it is difficult to understand and does not interest teenagers. Though many disadvantages of not understanding the concept of personality, including the creation of social reactions that are not good. Based on interviews and questionnaires that have been carried out by the designer, it is evident that the majority of adolescents do not know their personalities and personality types so that they cannot recognize and maximize their potential and difficulties in managing emotions or socializing. Overcoming this problem was finally designed an illustration book that aims to simplify and clarify the message of the importance of recognizing one's personality and understanding 4 types of personality based on Hippocrates' theory. Illustration is communicative so that it makes it easier for readers to understand the message through the visual as well as interesting so that the audience is more interested in reading. This design applies the preparation phase and the creation phase. The preparation stage is the stage of collection, analysis, synthesis, and determination of the design object while the creation phase covers the stages of pre- production, production, and post-production.
