Abstract
The development of highways in Indonesia from year to year continues to grow In terms of roads, the quality of the asphalt that is passed is also routinely maintained however, traffic congestion still occurs on the protocol road. That matter prove that the number of existing vehicles is always increasing. Vehicle motor is one source of sound / noise. The same thing happened in In the Pasuruan area, there are already several industrial and office locations which of course attracts immigrants from out of town to work in Pasuruan which will also increase the number of motorized vehicles in the area. If the vehicle the more dense the motor will affect the noise level. This study aims to determine the correlation between vehicle volume and noise. The methodology used in this research is sensing remotely by utilizing geographic information system mapping with software Arcgis, measuring noise in the field using a sound level tool meters and processed the data again by using linear regression method. From this research expected to produce a thematic map showing noise levels in Gempol District. The conclusion obtained from the study is the value of the noise level the highest in the morning is on Jalan Raya Malang-Gempol (under the flyover) with a value of 90.16 dBA, while the highest noise level value is in the afternoon located on the Gempol Baru Arterial Highway with a value of 91.74 dBA. Level Sound intensity is included in the classification of discomfort. Based on calculations regression model of vehicle volume against noise, then the results obtained that the number of vehicle volumes that has the best positive relationship to the noise value (Leq) is found on the Gempol Baru Arterial Highway (Segment III) on the type of vehicle MC with regression model Y = 74.55 + (0.037)X1, LV with regression model Y = 88.696 + (-0.061)X2 and the type of HV vehicle with the model regression Y = 92.246 + (-0.082)X3.
