Abstract
One of the factors affecting operator performance is heavy-loaded work and the problem is experienced on average by workers who do the same movement and repeated continuously. Problems that exist in PT. Gudang Garam, Graphic Directorate is a less ergonomic working position in the sort process where the taking of goods there is space with range of the range on the work table and on the process of sorting the process of loading the load should be standard in lifting the load 20 kg, in this process the weight of the load lifted operator 25 kg. RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) method is chosen because it can be used as an alternative to the problems within the company. The RULA method can be used to reduce the risk associated with a person's work on the upper body. Based on the results obtained in the manual calculation RULA method both have a small risk level and need action in some time ahead, while the software MIRTH RULA showed higher results 4. Proposed improvements for the sorting operator can be done by changing the angle on the upper arm (upper arm ) to 20 ° - 45 °, turning the trunk back to 20 ° - 60 ° and the proposed improvements for the sorting packaging operator continue to produce the same grand score.
