Abstract
Comics are entertainment reading that is popular among children and teenagers. As time goes by, the comics industry is progressing rapidly. Nowadays, Indonesian comics still be less popular than comics published abroad, such as Japanese comics or we known as manga. Children today are more familiar with comic that published from other countries than domestic comics. Therefore, we need a forum to introduce Indonesian comics to the wider community, especially the young generation. Museum is one of the educational tours to introduce and archive historical documentation. In this case, museums can be an alternative for introducing Indonesian comics to the general public, especially childrens and teenagers so that the young generation can find out and love domestic comics better. The method used for the design is Combination Metaphor Architecture method. This method was chosen as an application of comics nuances to the real world which is applied in museum design, so that an interactive space can be created for visitors. Therefore, there is a need for an Indonesian Comics Museum in Surabaya that can facilitate these activities. This museum is a place to introduce the history of the development of Indonesian comics and as a place to archive domestic comics so that documentation of Indonesian comics is maintained.
