Abstract
Chrysanthemum-cut flowers have proliferated in recent years in Indonesia. One of the centres and production centres for chrysanthemum cut flowers is located in Tutur District, Pasuruan Regency. This study aimed to determine the perception and elasticity of demand for chrysanthemum cut flowers in Tutur district, Pasuruan Regency. The sample in this study was chrysanthemum farmers in Tutur District, Pasuruan Regency. The population of cut chrysanthemum flower farmers consists of 105 farmers. Samples were taken as much as 5% of the total population, namely as many as 83 farmers. So, the samples taken in this study were 83 chrysanthemum farmers in Tutur District, Pauruan Regency, determined purposively. Based on the results of the characteristic analysis dominated by farmers with the last high school education with 6-10 years of experience, based on the results of the analysis of farmers' perceptions demand for chrysanthemum cut flowers, it was found that chrysanthemum cut flowers had a very high number of requests, and based on the analysis of the calculation of the elasticity of demand for cut flowers chrysanthemum obtained the price elasticity of cut flower chrysanthemum - 0.23554 meaning that the price of cut flower chrysanthemum not elastic. From the results of cross elasticity, the value is 1.11884, which means that cut roses are substitute goods, so cut roses can be a solution when the price of cut chrysanthemum flowers increases.
