Abstract
Highway road Kletek Sidoarjo is one of the roads known as the T-junction (three-way intersection) that connects Surabaya-Sidoarjo city and Surabaya-Madiun. Jalan Raya Kletek is included in the collector road class with lane 4/2 D in Sidoarjo district, East Java. This road is the main road that connects between centers of activity such as the economy, business, education, residential areas, and others. In this study, analyzed the relationship between the three main components of traffic flow, namely Volume, Speed, and Density in two methods, namely the Greenshield Model and the Greenberg Model. The Greenshield method assumes a relationship between speed and density. Meanwhile, the Greenberg method assumes that traffic flow has similarities with fluid flows, and analyzes the relationship between volume, density, and speed by using the assumption of the continuity equation of the liquid equation, in logarithmic form. From the results of research and analysis of traffic flow data, the best model to describe density during traffic jams (Dj) is the Greenshield Model, obtaining a value of 293.89 – 1315.32 pcu/km, while the Greenberg Model obtains density during traffic jams (Dj) namely between 27.907 – 63.295 pcu/km. The Greenshield model has a maximum volume value between 5444.98 – 11446.6 pcu/hour, while for the Greenberg model, the maximum volume value is between 0.05 – 166.69 pcu/hour.
