Abstract

This research was conducted because of the transational phenomenon BTS which has carved popularity globally. The success of BTS has always been associated with ARMY which is the fandom of BTS. This study aims to determine digital activism carried out by ARMY on a fandom community platform called Weverse. Using the netnographic method that uses participant observation as the data collection technique, this research is examined through digital activism and digital fandom. The results of this study indicate that ARMY carries out digital activism in the form of promotional and social campaigns to maintain BTS' position and image in the global music industry
