Abstract

ABSTRACT The shift in the function of land in urban areas causes agricultural land in urban areas to become increasingly narrow, so the concept of urban farming will be a solution, where urban farming is to utilize narrow and limited land in urban areas to be used as a place to grow crops, so that with limited land it is possible to do farming. farming activities. One example of farming activities that can be carried out in urban areas is the verticulture system. This research was carried out in the yard of Jabon Village, Mojoanyar District, Mojokerto Regency with an altitude of 500 meters above sea level. This study is a factorial experiment with 2 factors designed using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor is the composition of the planting media (M) which consists of 3 types of planting media composition, namely M1: soil + husk charcoal + manure (1:1:1), M2: soil + husk charcoal+manure (1:1:2), M3: soil + husk charcoal + manure (1:1:3) while the second factor is the concentration of POC (P) which consists of 4 levels, namely P0: 0ml/L, P1: 2ml/L, P2: 4ml/L, P3: 6ml/L. The results showed that the combination treatment between media composition 3 and a concentration of 2ml/L (M3P1) was the best combination treatment among all treatments.
