Abstract
Using the Brong Exhaust is considered not to meet the technical requirements that have been determined by the Ministry of Transportation and ATPM (Sole Agent of the Brand Holder). So that exhausts that do not meet the feasibility installed on motorcycles have violated the requirements specified in Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation The research method of this writing empirical juridical is a type of sociological legal research that can also be referred to as field research such as by conducting interviews.From the results of the author's observations in the field and supported by data on the enforcement of brong exhaust in the Jombang area for the last 3 years, there has been an increase from 2019 to 2021 regarding the use of brong exhaust that does not meet the technical and roadworthy requirements according to the reference to Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. For this reason, it can be concluded that the results of this study have internal obstacles experienced by the Jombang Resort Police Traffic Unit police, including the lack of socialization to the community, besides that there are also two external obstacles, namely the low level of legal awareness of two-wheeled motor vehicles that use brong exhaust, and also the laws that are the legal basis for their authority still tell the problem of and there are preventive and repressive efforts by the police. So that the method of the Jombang Resort police Traffic Unit still cannot be said to be effective in overcoming the use of brong exhaust in the Jombang Regency area.
