Abstract

Eggplant plants (Solanum melongena L.) are food plants that are planted for fruit utilization. Eggplant needs have not been fulfilled because in its development many obstacles are faced resulting in eggplant production which is still low. To overcome this problem, one of the efforts to increase eggplant production can be done by providing liquid organic fertilizer and growth regulators. The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer and the concentration of growth regulators appropriate for the growth and production of eggplant. The study was conducted in Payan Hamlet in the Customs Village of Sedati District using a poly bag. The time for this research to begin in April 2019 until July 2019. The design used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors. Factor 1 concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (control, 1 cc/l water, 2 cc/l water, and 3cc/l water) and factor 2 concentration of growth regulators (control, 3 cc/l water, 6 cc/l water, and 9 cc/l water). The results showed a real interaction occurred in the combination treatment of P3Z3 (3 ml/l and 9 cc/l) on the total fruit weight per plant parameter and the average fruit weight per fruit. Concentration of liquid organic fertilizer 3cc / l water gives the best results on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, number of flowers, total number of fruit harvested per plant, and weight of fruit per plant and the average weight of fruit per fruit. Whereas the concentration of growth regulator 6 cc / l of water gives the best results on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, number of flowers, fruit set, and total number of fruit harvested per plant and a concentration of 9 cc / l of water gives the best results on the weight of fruit harvest total per plant and average fruit weight per fruit.
