Abstract

The need for society to communicate over long distances is not only voice, but also video and data, so a means of communication that is capable of serve all services with a high quality of service capable serves triple play and large bandwidth capacity in delivery information. With fiber optic technology, the form of service delivered varies in real time without buffering. Fiber optic communication systems are quickly becoming a solution because they are capable of competing replaces other systems with the advantages of fiber optics i.e. has a large bandwidth, small transmission damping, small size. The design of the FTTH access network has been carried out in several region. To hold a Fiber to The Home (FTTH) access network, PT. Telkom using GPON technology. Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) is an access technology as broadband access based on fiber optic cables evolved from PON.
