Abstract

As is well known, for approximately two years the world has faced severe challenges in the form of the Covid-19 virus, the whole world, especially Indonesia, has felt the bad impact. This causes various sectors of human daily life to be difficult, until now the government is still looking for the best solution that can be used in the long term to overcome the covid-19 pandemic. One solution that is expected to be used in the long term is to vaccinate all levels of society, but there are other challenges, namely it is not easy to provide understanding to all Indonesian people who are very diverse. Especially for teenagers who are currently in the age of twelve to seventeen who are included in the millennial generation. Teenagers tend to prefer to learn things that can be seen visually, not only in writing, this can be seen from the many activities carried out by involving cellphones. All things contained in cellphones such as social media, communication etc. are done by involving visuals and writing, so to provide education to teenagers, so that knowledge can be understood is to combine visuals and writing. Therefore, this design was carried out to provide an understanding of covid-19 vaccination to adolescents aged twelve to seventeen years, using the media of illustration books and also containing interesting concepts for their age. What is interesting here is that the addition of illustrations other than as a visual aspect, is also able to provide support for written explanations, so that these teenagers can more easily understand the content that will be conveyed. In addition, using language that is easily understood by teenagers in written explanations also adds interesting value. This is because teenagers can better understand the education that will be delivered because they use terms or words that are close to children of that age. The use of words that are not rigid can also minimize boredom when teenagers are reading this book.
