Abstract

Red spinach is a vegetable that contains minerals, protein, iron, vitamins A and C. Red spinach also contains many important mineral salts, namely calcium, phosphorus and iron to stimulate growth and maintain immunity so that it is beneficial for human health. Hydroponics is one way to produce plant products, especially high-quality vegetable commodities. In the substrate hydroponic system, the irrigation system used is open, where water along with a nutrient solution is flowed to the plant in a certain amount, so that it is directly absorbed by plant roots (Indriyati, 2002). This research experiment was a factorial experiment with 2 factors using a Divided Plot Design (RPT) in a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with the main plot being the type of nutrition (N) and as a subplot the type of hydroponic growing media (M). The main plot is the provision of various nutrients with 2 levels, namely: Ab Mix Nutrition and NASA POC Nutrition. Sub-plots are hydroponic media with 4 levels, namely: Husk Charcoal Planting Media, Cocopeat Growing Media, Hydroton Growing Media, Rockwool Planting Media. The two factors obtained 8 treatment combinations. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so there were 24 experimental units, and each experimental unit had 6 plants, so a total of 144 plants. The combination treatment of nutrients and types of media showed a significant interaction with the parameters of plant height at 2 and 4 DAP (Days After Transplanting) and stem diameter of red spinach at 2, 4, and 6 DAP (Days After Transplanting), while the combination treatment the best is N1 (Ab mix) with M4 (Rockwool). The treatment of various nutrients significantly affected plant height, number of leaves and stem diameter, as well as the nutrient that gave the best value, namely Ab
