Abstract

Rembang Regency is a Regency in Central Java Province which is bordered by Rembang Bay (Java Sea) in the north, Tuban Regency (East Java) in the east, Blora Regency in the south, and Pati Regency in the West. Geographically, it is located at the northeastern tip of Central Java Province and is traversed by the North Java Coast Road (Pantura Line), at coordinates 111°21′ – 111°39′ East Longitude and 6°21′ – 6°42′ South Latitude. Located on the main route of the North coast, it is directly adjacent to the province of East Java, which makes it a city with great economic prospects in the Central Java region. Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) contains various dissolved substances (be it organic, inorganic, or other materials) dissolved in water and the TDS level affects the turbidity of the water so that if it is too high it will disturb marine life and can cause sedimentation. Based on this background, efforts are needed to monitor the distribution of Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) on the coast of Rembang using Terra Modis satellite imagery which will be used to compare the distribution of dissolved solids, sedimentation, abrasion and changes in salinity on the northern coast of Rembang Regency using technology remote sensing satellite data that focuses on 2018 to 2022 and also direct sampling in the field, namely on the coast of Rembang, Balongmulyo, Kec. Kragan, Kab. Rembang, Central Java, The results of this study can be concluded that the Terra Modis satellite image with a wavelength of 412 nm with the Logarithmic TDS(Ppm) Algorithm model = -3.758ln(x) + 16,678 and the value of R2 = 0.0552 can be used to calculate TDS levels because the results of the ANOVA test meet the requirements, using remote sensing technology from the Terra MODIS satellite is expected to assist in mapping the distribution of Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) so that it can provide the right solution in decision making which can later be used as a database in the field of Civil Engineering in planning and the construction of a water structure such as a pier or harbor.
