Abstract

The coast of Sidoarjo Regency is directly utilized by local residents to meet their daily needs, such as looking for fish and shellfish. One of the technologies that can be used to develop marine potential is remote sensing technology. This study aims to map sea surface temperatures on the coast of Sidoarjo with remote sensing methods using Landsat 8 satellite data from 2018-2022 data which was carried out using the most optimal mathematical model analysis and statistical tests were carried out between in-situ temperature and reflectance temperature data. Landsat 8 satellite. From the results of the research on the coastal sea surface temperature of Sidoarjo, the insitu sea surface temperature of 35,5 oC for the minimum value and 42.9 oC for the maximum temperature value, while from processing Landsat 8 image data in 2022, the minimum temperature value is 33.5 oC and a maximum of 42.9 oC. The largest R2 equation is found in the Linear equation in Band 2 with the equation obtained y=936.82x-68.111 with the result R2 = 0.2898 This value shows a fairly low positive correlation. Based on the calculation of the correlation between image temperature data and in situ temperature data, the largest correlation value is shown in 2022 with a correlation value of 0.493220888, the value has a moderately positive correlation. From the data obtained, it is known that there is an increase in sea surface temperature every year, the difference in sea surface temperature is around 10.2 oC with the smallest average temperature in 2019 and the largest average temperature in 2022. Key word: Sea Surface Temperature, Landsat 8,
