Abstract

Planning for Calcium Chloride Dehydrate from Calcium Carbonate and Hydrochloric Acid with Neutralization Process is planned for a production capacity of 60,000 tons/year. Calcium chloride is a chemical that is widely used in the chemical industry, namely as an additive in the food industry, as a source of calcium ions, preservatives, and product packaging. A brief description of the process of the calcium chloride factory is as follows: First of all, Calcium Carbonate is crushed and crushed then neutralized with HCl to form calcium chloride. The calcium chloride solution is then concentrated in the evaporator, crystallized in a crystallizer and dried in a rotary dryer and is ready to be marketed. This factory is planned to be established in Tuban and operate for 330 days/year with the following data: 1. Production capacity: 60,000 tons/year 2. Materials used: Calcium Carbonate and HCl 3. Operating system: Continuous 4. Operation time: 330 days/year; 24 hours/day 5. Land area : 19,375 m2 6. Number of employees: 182 people 7. Company form: Limited Liability Company (PT) 8.
