Abstract

This study discusses the influence of Arab Vision 2030 on the diversification of the economy and investment in Saudi Arabia to be free from dependence on oil. Arab Vision 2030 was first initiated by crown prince Mohammad bin Salman. This vision became the point of Arab transformation from a conservative state to a modern state. Arab Vision 2030 is aimed at reducing Saudi Arabia's dependence on oil, while diversifying the economy and developing public sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, recreation and tourism. This explanatory research uses literature study as a data source collection. The results of this study are that the impact of Arab Vision 2030 for the Saudi Arabian economy in 2017 to 2021 is quite progressive and significant. Foreign direct investment or FDI has the potential to be a solution for profitable non-oil income diversification efforts. In addition, policy deregulation plays an important role in supporting a healthy investment climate in Saudi Arabia. The data in this study shows that FDI inflows in 2021 have reached 19.3 billion US dollars, the most since 2010, according to data published by the Saudi central bank.
