Abstract

Kopyor coconut is one of the plantation plants that has very good prospects to be developed as a commodity because it has a competitive advantage compared to normal coconut. One effort to increase kopyor coconut plant seeds by using seed weight and planting media in accordance with plant needs. This research was conducted from March 2019 to September 2019, in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur. This research is a factorial experiment compiled using a Completely Randomized Design(RCBD) factorial consisting of 2 factors, the first factor is the weight of the seed and the second factor is the planting media. Factor I: Seed Weight which consists of 3 levels B1 : ( X < 1 kg), B2 : ( diantara 1 ≤ X ≤ 1,5 kg ) and B3 : ( X >1,5 kg ), Factor II: Growing Media consisting of 3 levels : M1 : Soil, M2 : Soil + Chiken Manure dan M3 : Soil + Blotong Compost. The results showed an interaction occurred in leaf area observation. Seed weight showed significantly different results in several parameters, Likewise, the treatment of planting media gives significantly different results on several parameters of observation.
