Abstract

Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a vegetable crop favored by the community and one of the efforts to increase production is by adding concentration and frequency of gibberellins. This study aims to determine the effect of the concentration and frequency of administration of gibberellins on the growth and yield of eggplant. The study was conducted at the UPT Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Office of Mantup Subdistrict, Lamongan Regency in January - April 2020. The research was arranged using a Factorial Complete Randomized Design with two factors, namely gibberelin concentration (K) consisting of K0 = without giberelin concentration; K1 = 100 ppm; K2 = 200 ppm; K3 = 300 ppm and frequency of giving gibberellins (P) consisting of P1 = 2 iv times the application; P2 = 3 times the application; P3 = 4 times the application. The results showed that the combination treatment of concentration and frequency of gibberellins significantly affected plant height (28 hst -56 hst), number of leaves (35 hst-49 hst), age of flowering, total flowering, total number of fruit, total fruit weight and fruit weight per plant. The treatment combination was found in the K2P1 concentration where the concentration was 200 ppm and the frequency of gibberellins were given 2 times where the results of the treatment were the best results.
