Abstract

Mung beans (Vigna radiata L.) are legumes that are in great demand by people because of their high nutritional value, but the need for green beans has not been fulfilled because in their development there are many obstacles. Paclobutrazol accelerates the generative phase which is marked by the appearance of flowers and increases the number of flowers, so it requires more nutrients that can be obtained from the liquid waste of tofu. The combination of paclobutrazol and tofu liquid waste is expected to increase the yield of green beans. This study aims to determine the interaction due to the concentration of paclobutrazol and the dose of tofu liquid waste on the growth and yield of green bean plants carried out in Betro Village, Kemlagi District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java in December 2019 - February 2020. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of two factors with four levels and was repeated three times. The first factor is the concentration of paclobutrazol (P) consisting of four levels, 0 ppm (P0), 100 ppm (P1), 150 ppm (P2), and 200 ppm (P3). The second factor was the dose of tofu (L) liquid waste consisting of four levels of 0 ml (L 0), 200 ml (L1), 250 ml (L2), and 300 ml (L3). There is no combination interaction in all parameters. Paclobutrazol 200 ppm (P3) treatment affected plant height (50.75 cm) and the number of leaves (21.14). Paclobutrazol 150 ppm (P2) treatment significantly affected flowering time (30.56 days), flowering plants (5.29), fruit set (82.25%), number of pods planted (44.92), the weight of pods planted ( 49.73 g), the weight of the seeds per plant (38.04 g), and the weight of 100 grains (8.90 g). Treatment of tofu liquid waste of 300 ml/plant (L3) affected the number of flowering plants for green beans (5.24). Keywords: Paclobutrazol, Tofu Liquid Waste, Mung Beans
