Abstract

Perencanaan pabrik Asam Oksalat dari Sodium Format dengan proses Acidulation direncanakan untuk kapasitas produksi sebesar 16.980,2684 ton/tahun. Pabrik beroperasi secara kontinyu selama 300 hari dalam setahun. Asam Oksalat sangat banyak digunakan pada bidang pembersihan radiator.Secara singkat uraian proses dari pabrik Asam Oksalat sebagai berikut : Pertama Natrium format di furnace pada suhu 4000C kemudian direaksikan dengan Ca(OH)2 , setelah itu dipisahkan filtrate dan cake menggunakan filter press. Filtrat NaOH disimpan , Cake sodium oksalat direaksikan dengan H2SO4 selama 1 jam . setelah itu dipisahkan kembali dengan menggunakan filter press , cake CaSO4 disimpan dan filtrate dialirkan menuju crystallizer kemudian centrifuge , lalu ke rotary dryer kemudian menghasilkan produk Asam Oksalat yang siap di pasarkan.
