Abstract

In 2015 Rendeng village was developed into Wisata Edukasi Gerabah (WEG) based on education in order to accommodate the creativity of residents. Wisata Edukasi Gerabah (WEG) is one of the tourist areas located in Rendeng Village, Malo District, Bojonegoro regency, East Java. Wisata Edukasi Gerabah (WEG) presents three facilities for tourists, namely knowledge of pottery, the practice of making pottery, and painting pottery. This tourist village also sells various forms of ready-made pottery. But this tourist village is still not widely known by the public. One of the reasons this village does not yet have a consistent visual identity, and a characteristic logo.This study uses qualitative research methods and quantitative research methods with primary data techniques through interviews, observations, documentation and questionnaires while secondary data through sources such as journals, scientific articles, books and websites. Through this stage, the logo design concept will be in accordance with the characteristics or characteristics of the Wisata Edukasi Gerabah (WEG) and the characteristics of the target audience aged 7-12 years. With the gathering of data analysis conducted, data obtained that the public is less interested in visiting Wisata Edukasi Gerabah (WEG) due to several factors such as not the maximum branding on the tour either in terms of visual, media or in terms of the environment. From this problem, the design of destination branding emerged to reintroduce Pottery education tourism to the public at large. The design concept in this event refers to the keyword “Edukasi tourism that is fun and interesting” based on tourism characteristics and target audience. It is expected that Wisata Edukasi Gerabah (WEG) can develop and compete in this modern era and have more value in the minds of consumers or society at large.
