Abstract

Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a fruit vegetable commodity favored by the Indonesian people because it tastes good, and is good for health. The demand for eggplant has been increasing along with population growth, so eggplant production needs to be increased to meet eggplant consumption in Indonesia. Low eggplant production due to hard and damaged soil due to the use of chemical fertilizers and a large number of deciduous flowers. Use of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (NASA) to fulfill nutrients that cannot be absorbed by plants and the addition of shallot extract to prevent flower fall. This study aims to determine the interaction caused by the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer and shallot extract on the growth and yield of eggplant plants conducted in Karangasem Hamlet, Mojosarirejo Village, Gresik Regency, East Java in November 2019 -March 2020. This study used a design Complete Random (CRD) consists of 2 factors that produce 16 combinations and are repeated three times. The first factor is the concentration of POC (P) consisting of four levels, namely POC (control ((P0), 2 ml / L (P1), 4 ml / L (P2) and 6 ml / L (P3). The second factor is extract concentration shallot (M), consisting of four levels: Shallot Extract (control) 0% (M0), 4% (M1), 6% (M2) and 8% (M3). Combination treatment (P3M1) gives the best results against several leaves (38.33 strands), age of flower emergence (38.11 days), number of productive branches (9.56 branches), fruitset (86.82%), number of fruits in the 3rd harvest period (1.78 fruits) ) and 4 (2.44 pieces), the fruit weight of the 3rd harvest period (355.83 g) and 4 (452.14 g) and the total weight of the harvest (2.46 kg).
