Abstract
Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a horticultural plant that has been cultivated for a long time both in the yard or in the cultivation land to use their fruit. This study aims to know the media comparison effect of soil and types of manure toward growth and yield of purple eggplant var. Antaboga. The study was conducted from February to May 2020 in Pabean Village, Sedati District, Sidoarjo, East Java. The study was designed using Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors, namely the comperasion of soil and type of manure with 12 treatments and it repeated 3 (three) times. The results showed an interaction between the ratio of soil media and type of manure to plant height, number of leaves, a total of flowers per plant, a total of fruits per plant, total fruit weight, and length of fruit. The best results were obtained from the combination treatment of soil media comperasion (1:2) and cow manure (M2P2). Key words : comparasion of soil media, manure, purple eggplant
