Abstract

Permendagri Number 1 of 2007 concerning RTHKP arrangement which is a detailed elaboration of Law Number 26 of 2007 concerning Spatial Planning stipulates that the ideal area of RTHKP is at least 30% of the urban area. The area of RTHKP includes public (20%) and private (10%). This study aims to evaluate the percentage of Green Open Space (RTH) required in the area to be able to absorb emissions generated by transportation activities. The research location is in Sidoarjo Regency, especially in Sidoarjo and Buduran Districts. The research was conducted by collecting laboratory test data for ambient air quality test results, then direct observation of the type of vegetation number and quantity data in the form of Spatial and Regional Planning (RTRW) as well as social conditions in Sidoarjo and Buduran Districts. The method used in this study is a combination of calculating carbon emissions, the ability to absorb vegetation and the need for green open spaces. The control is carried out by comparing the results of the area of Green Open Space to the provisions of Permendagri Number 1 of 2007 and Law Number 26 of 2007. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the total emission of Carbon dioxide (CO2) using a local emission factor was 241,289.83 g/hour .km in Abhirama Buduran Park and 313,182.43 g/hour.km in Sidoarjo Square. The ability of green open space to absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) Emissions in Abhirama Park is 300.007 mg/second and 1,218.397 mg/second in Sidoarjo Square. So that both of them are quite effective in absorbing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions when compared to the total emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) / day in Buduran and Sidoarjo District.
