Abstract

Fruit flies (Bactrocera sp.) are important pests that attack Pomelo oranges and cause losses of up to 30%-60%. Streptomyces sp. is a biological agents that can be used to control fruit flies. The aim of this study was to determine the most effectiveness several concentrations and application targets of Streptomyces sp. to the mortality of fruit flies. The study was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Health 1 Faculty of Agriculture, University of National Development "Veteran" of East Java and in Tambakmas Village, Magetan Regency from January to March 2020. This study used a Factorial Complete Randomized Design with 2 factors, concentration factors and application targets. The first factor was the concentration of a biological agents factor (300 ml / 1000 ml of water (KS1) and a concentration of 500 ml / 1000 ml of water (KS2). The second factor was the application target of biological agents, that was application in infected fruit (S1), application in soil (S2) and application in infected fruit and soil (S3). Each treatment combination was repeated in 4 replications. The results obtained from the study were the treatment of concentrations of 500 ml / 1000 ml of water applied on the ground showed the highest mortality rate in pupa fruit flies. Keywords: Biological agents, Streptomyces sp., fruit flies Bactrocera sp., pomelo oranges
