Abstract

The northern part of Sampang Regency is an area with vast marine and coastal potential, the Ketapang, Sokobana and Banyuates areas with fisheries development and growth moving very rapidly along with the fertility level of the waters. Based on this background, it is necessary to conduct a study on the value and distribution of Total Suspended Solid (TSS) which will be used to compare the distribution of sedimentation on the north coast of Sampang district using remote sensing satellite data technology that focuses on 2017 to 2021. Therefore, there is a need for a study on the value and distribution of Total Suspended Solid (TSS) which will be used to compare the distribution of sedimentation in the northern waters of Sampang Regency. The use of satellite imagery still leaves geometric errors in the field. The accuracy of the data is lower than the water sampling method, so a data correlation study is needed through research using Aqua MODIS satellite imagery data and water sampling at twenty coastal points of Sampang district in the north. The results of the research and analysis carried out can be concluded that the Aqua Modis satellite image data for 2017 - 2021 using the ANOVA test, the most suitable is the image data for 2021 and using a wavelength of 645 nm. The power algorithm equation model with the equation y = 478.9x0.178, the value of R² = 0.285 and the correlation value of 0.43684756, the interpretation is Slightly Low Correlation. This research is expected to provide information on the high level of turbidity in a waters that can inhibit the entry of sunlight into the water and to find out the thematic map of the distribution of Total Siuspended Solid (TSS) so that it can be used as a guide in the construction of coastal buildings.
