Abstract
The city of Gresik which is now gradually growing and developing is one of the largest industrial cities in East Java, not only the industrial sector with various potentials in the tourism sector including cultural tourism, religious tourism, and nature tourism, it is also a big potential for businessmen outside the city. This development has seen many entrepreneurs who want to invest in Gresik, especially in the hospitality sector. Gresik has experienced a fairly significant industrial development, then road access, both land and sea, seems to be the main consideration. In addition, skilled labor is quite easy to obtain in Gresik Regency because it is a strategic industrial area since decades However, as the city of Gresik develops, various problems arise, the condition of the city of Gresik is increasingly advanced, especially in the industrial sector, many factories in the city of Gresik make the air in the city of Gresik exposed to pollution. The Environment Service (DLH) of the Gresik Regency Government said that in 2019, the air quality index (IKU) measured by the East Java Provincial Environment Agency placed Gresik as the city with the worst KPI in East Java with a figure of 65.81. For this reason, the concept of Green Architecture emerged, namely an architectural planning approach that seeks to minimize various harmful effects on human health and the environment
