Abstract

Collector roads have a lower traffic volume and speed than the collector roads in Sidoarjo, namely: Brigadir Jenderal Katamso Road, Raya Berbek Road, Letnan Jenderal Suprapto Road, Raya Tropodo Road, and Raya Sedati Gede Road which are collector roads that have a volume very high traffic. These roads often look congested, because they can connect to several destinations, such as PT. Sier, Waru Toll Road, Juanda International Airport, and other destinations. Heavy traffic volumes on these roads can raise the land surface temperature. Therefore, the traffic volume of Brigadir Jenderal Katamso Road - Raya Sedati Gede Road often looks congested in the morning and evening. This traffic volume density seems to be able to raise the land surface temperature of Brigadir Jenderal Katamso Road – Raya Sedati Gede Road. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview in the form of a thematic map showing the characteristics, the temperature distribution of Brigadir Jenderal Katamso Road - Raya Sedati Gede Road, and to know the correlation value between traffic volume density and land surface temperature using a Geographic Information System (GIS). Based on the calculation results, the largest traffic volume (Q) occurred in segment III of Letnan Jenderal Suprapto Road with a 3737.65 SMP/hour value, which occurred at 16.00 – 17.00 WIB. For the calculation of the average surface temperature, the highest occurred in segment IV of Raya Tropodo Road at 13.30 – 14.00 WIB, with an average temperature of 64.93⁰ C. For the calculation results, the highest correlation value was in segment IV of Raya Tropodo Road. With a correlation value (R) = 0.996 or 99.6%, which means the correlation is very strong. While the multivariable linear regression model Y = 0.030 XMC + 0.097 XLV + 0.567 XHV with a degree of determination (R2) = 0.992 or 99.2%, which means that the suitability of the multivariable regression model is very appropriate.
