Abstract

Kawista (Limonia acidissima L.) is a tropical fruit which classified as Rutaceae‟s family. Kawista is quite rare to find in Surabaya. An attempt to multiply it as an ornamental plant is needed. The purpose of this research is to know the inhibition effect of paclobutrazol in kawista growth for developed as a mini plant. This research was conducted in December 2019 until March 2020, in the field of Agriculture Faculty UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur. This research used Factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 2 factors and has 3 repetition. First factor is paclobutrazol’s concentration with 4 degrees (0 ppm, 100 ppm, 200 ppm, 300 ppm). The second factor is frequency of paclobutrazol‟s application with 3 degrees (2 kali, 4 kali, 6 kali). Further testing used BNJ 5% test. The results of this research indicated none of the interaction between concentration and frequent of paclobutrazol. Paclobutrazol’s concentration treatment 300 ppm can influence parameters accretion height plant, accretion diameter stem, and content of chlorophyll. Frequency application of paclobutrazol 6 times takes effect in content of plant chlorophyll. Phenotype kawista seed which has a minimum height is sample P3F3 (treatment 300 ppm concentration and 6 times frequency of application).
