Abstract

Investment is one of the important factors in the process of economic development, and investment can provide great benefits for the economy of a region and one of the sectors that can make a significant contribution to East Java's economic growth is by increasing the trade sector. This study aims to determine how the influence of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP), Inflation and Interest Rates on the amount of investment in the trade sector in 2009 - 2020. The research method used is multiple linear regression analysis method with annual time series data from 2009 - 2020 The data was obtained from the official website of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Bank Indonesia and the East Java Province Investment & PTSP Office. The results of the f test show that the independent variables of GDP (x1), Inflation (x2) and Interest Rates (x3) influence the dependent variable on the amount of trade sector investment (y) while the t test results show that inflation and interest rates do not affect investment in the sector. trade, on the other hand, that the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) has a significant effect on investment in the trade sector.
