Abstract
Tourism is an important industry for the Indonesian economy. The development of a place that is used as a tourism area is expected to be a reliable source and potential of economic activity that is able to promote economic activity, including other sector activities so that employment, community income, income and regional income, as well as foreign exchange earnings increase through efforts to develop and develop various tourism potentials. while maintaining the national personality and preserving the function and quality of the environment. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the components of tourism offerings in Waerebo tourism objects, as well as to identify and analyze the development and magnitude of local economic potential in Waerebo. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This type of research generally aims to describe systematically, factually, and accurately to a particular population or area regarding certain characteristics, characteristics or factors. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation and a combination of the four. The results of the research, namely optimizing tourism in the Waerebo traditional village can be applied through the development of facilities, both facilities when going to Waerebo traditional village tourism.
