Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research are to examine and analyze (1) the effect of emotional intelligence on the level of understanding of accounting; (2) the effect of learning behavior on the level of understanding of accounting. This research uses quantitative methods. The population of this research is active undergraduate students (S1) in the 2016 Class of Accounting Faculty of Economics and Business UPN "Veteran" East Java, amounting to 282 students. This research uses simple random sampling technique. The sample used in this research amounted to 85 students. The analysis technique used in this research is Partial Least Square (PLS) using WarpPLS 6.0. The results of this research are (1) emotional intelligence significantly influence the level of understanding of accounting; (2) learning behavior significantly influence the level of understanding of accounting.
