Abstract

This research was conducted in Tosari District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java Province. The purpose of this study is to identify landslide hazard and mitigation efforts in Tosari District. Landslides occur due to steep slopes and the form of geological material in the form of breccia volcanic rocks so that they can be used as slip areas for ground motion. Data processing Geological maps and land cover in the form of shapefiles were clipped to the research area. The determination of the vulnerability level of the landslide area in the study area is based on the estimation model of landslide-prone areas by the Directorate of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation/DVMBG (2004). Score = (30% x rainfall class factor) + (20% x geology) + (20 % x erodibility class factor) + (15% x land use) + (15% x slope class factor). Based on some of the factors above, the highest landslide-prone area is above the area that is included in the category of low landslide disaster area, namely Baledono village with an area of 796 Ha. Meanwhile, for the category of moderate landslide area, the highest was Podokoyo village with an area of 1203 Ha. Then the high landslide-prone area, namely the cage village with an area of 538 ha. The biggest influencing factor, namely, a slope of 98%, this parameter shows a large potential for landslide-prone areas so that mitigation efforts are needed according to BNPB, (2017).
