Abstract
Kabupaten Sidoarjo is a support area in East Java Province but has dynamic economic activities. Based on district/city GDP data in East Java every year, Kabupaten Sidoarjo is one of the three regions that have the largest share of East Java GDP contributors after the City of Surabaya and Kabupaten Pasuruan . The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze potential economic sectors as an increase in GDP and to support economic growth in Sidoarjo Regency based on Location Quotient analysis, Shift Share analysis, Specialization Index, and SWOT with the aim of knowing the leading sectors and what sectors encourage and hinder the growth of Kabupaten Sidoarjo in East Java Province. Based on the results of the analysis, there are 4 basic sectors and 13 non-basic sectors. The basic sectors include the Manufacturing Industry sector of 1.72; Electricity and Gas Procurement of 2.55; Construction of 1.02; and Transportation and Warehousing 2.78. Kabupaten Sidoarjo has a specialization sector, namely Manufacturing, Electricity and Gas Procurement, Transportation and warehousing. Keywords: Potential Sector, Economic Growth, GDP
