Abstract

Corn is one of the staple crops in Indonesia. One type of corn that has been developed is purple corn (Black Aztec). Purple corn seeds are difficult to obtain because there are not many the community cultivates it, so it is necessary to develop for maintain its sustainability seed. Corn development must pay attention to fertilization and environmental conditions. Use Organic matter is an alternative to reduce inorganic materials that have a negative impact for the environment. Biostimulants are organic compounds that have a positive effect on plant growth as well as a stimulant of nutrient uptake, efficient use of nutrients. Humic acid and seaweed extract are one of the biostimulants that have macronutrients and hormones and have an influence on plant growth and production. Research using factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors, the concentration of acid humate (P) consists of P 0 = 0 ml/l (Control) , P 1 = 10 ml/l, P 2 = 15 ml/l, P 3 = 20 ml/l and extract concentration seaweed (R) consists of R 0 = 0 ml/l (Control), R 1 = 3 ml/l, R 2 = 5 ml/l, R 3 = 7 ml/l then test continued BNJ 5%. The results showed that the use of humic acid and seaweed extract significant effect on the parameters of the number of seeds per cob. Combination P3R3 (concentration of humic acid 20 ml/l and seaweed extract 7 ml/l) gave the best effect. Humic acid with a concentration of 20 ml/l and seaweed extract with a concentration of 7 ml/l had significant differences in each treatment of parameters of plant height, number of leaves and weight of 100 seeds.
