Abstract

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicumL.) is a popular vegetable crop that has high nutritional value. One effort to increase tomato plant production is by using the composition of the planting media and the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer in accordance with the needs of the plant. This research was conducted from April to July 2019 in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur. This research is a factorial with 2 factors arranged in a Randomized Block Design (RCBD). The first factor is the composition of the plantingmedia which consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely: M1 = Soil: Husk charcoal: Chicken Manure (1: 1: 1); M2 = Soil: Husk charcoal: Chicken Manure (1: 2: 1); M3 = Soil: Husk charcoal: Chicken Manure (1: 1: 2) and M4 = Soil: Husk Charcoal: Chicken Manure (2: 1: 1). The second factor is the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely Control (P0), 2 ml / l (P1), 4 ml / l (P2), and 6 ml / l (P3). The results showed that there was no real interaction between the treatment composition of the planting media and the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer on all observational variables. The composition of planting mediaM3gives the best results on the number of flowers, the number of fruit formed, fruit set, number of harvested fruits, and fruit weight. The concentration of liquid organic fertilizer treatmentP3gives the best results to the weight of the fruit.Keyword : Concentration, Liquid Organic Fertilizer, Planting Media, Tomato Plants
