Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know the meaning of caricature on the cover of Tempo magazine " One problem, One Thousand Drama " edition 20-26 November 2017. to the case of the chastisement of religion along with the four victims depicted on the cover. Theories used include caricatures as a process of communication and social criticism, the theory of semiotics and the theory of Triangle of Meaning Charles Sanders Pierce. In this study the authors used descriptive qualitative method using semiotic approach. With the object of research is a caricature on the cover of Tempo magazine " One problem, One Thousand Drama " edition 20-26 November 2017. The conclusion of this research is caricature is touched on the problems of political figures involved in the case of E-ID card. Figures that are meant to have a resemblance to Setya Novanto who makes the character as a caricature image icon cover magazine Tempo 20-26 November 2017 edition.
