Abstract

Mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) is one of the pea crop commodities that have high economic value and is a good source of vitamins, so it is widely cultivated in Indonesia. Based on data from the Ministry of Agriculture in 2018, the national mung bean production tends to decrease from year to year. The low productivity of green beans can be caused by cultivation techniques that have not been implemented properly and correctly. Among them are the unavailability of P nutrients when needed and drought stress at certain growth stages. Efforts are made to overcome the nutrients that are not available to plants, namely by giving mycorrhizae to plants and related to the effect of water stress on growth and yields, it will be carried out by treating different levels of water stress. This study aims to determine the interaction between mycorrhizal dose and the level of water stress that affects the growth and yield of mung bean. This research was carried out at the plastic house of Gelang Village, Sidoarjo Regency in January – March 2020. The study was arranged using a factorial completely randomized design with two factors, namely the mycorrhizal dose (M) consisting of M0; Control, M1; 5g/plant, M2; 10g/plant, M3; 15g/plant and Water Stress Level (C) consisting of C0; field capacity, C1; 75% field capacity, C2; 50% field capacity. The results showed that there was a significant interaction between the mycorrhizal dose and the level of water stress on the parameters of observing the number of flowers, and the weight of 100 green bean seeds. The mycorrhizal dose treatment of 15g/plant had the highest yield compared to control on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of flowers per branch, number of pods, pod weight, number of seeds and weight of seeds per green bean plant. Treatment of water stress level of 75% field capacity showed no significant difference with field capacity on parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of pods and number of seeds per mung bean plant. Keywords : Green Bean Plant (Vigna radiata L.), Mycorrhizal Dose, Water Stress Level
