Abstract

The purpose of this research is : 1).analyze consumer’s characteristics of preserved flower products. 2). analyze consumer’s perceptions and expectations of preserved flower products in Surabaya 3). analyze the producer’s effort to expand their preserved flower products. The research method uses a questionnaire with a total of 30 respondents and uses a different result analysis (GAP Analysis) and descriptive. The results of this research is that consumers of preserved flower products are dominated by the age of 21-40 years, female, and working as a private employee with more than 7 million income. Then, between consumerpereptionsand expectations of preserved flower products, there is a positive classification gap of 0.04 which means that preserved flower products exceed consumer expectations. As for the producer’s efforts to expand the market for preserved flower products, which by adding packaging options, product variations and prices, and extra quality control.Keywords: preserved flower, expectation, perception, gap
