Abstract
The public assumption that management and performance of companies owned by regional governments is always bad is not appropriate. The opposite condition occurred in the Regionally Owned Company (ROC), namely PDAM Intan Banjar. The purpose of this research are, first, describe and analyze the application of GCG in the PDAM Intan Banjar in South Kalimantan. Second, describe and analyze the performance that has been achieved so far. This type of research is qualitative research, categorized as case study research. Sample of research is PDAM Intan Banjar. The subject of this research is the President Director and the Chair of the Internal Auditor. The method of collecting data is by depth interview. The analytical tool is descriptive analytical. The PDAM Intan Banjar has implemented GCG well. As a result, the company's activities run well and can relatively meet the interests of stakeholders, including overcoming political interventions. The PDAM Intan Banjar is also preparing to implement the latest GCG rules. PDAM Intan Banjar along with PDAM Badung, Bali often become GCG keynote speakers for other PDAMs in Indonesia. Performance achievement of PDAM Intan Banjar: increased service coverage, increased profits, increased assets, and cash flow. The PDAM also obtained a "Good" audit result from the BPKP. The PDAM Intan Banjar also received 4 awards at the same time in 2017. Keywords: good corporate governance, PDAM, regionally owned corporation (ROC), performance.
