Abstract

Malang Regency is an administrative area which is a coastal area its coast is directly adjacent to the Indian Ocean making it a city with a very large and good prospect of marine and fishery economic potential, which makes it a city with great economic prospects in the region Eastern Indonesia. Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) contains various substances dissolved (be it organic, inorganic, or other materials) dissolved in water and TDS levels affect the turbidity of the water so that if it is too high it will disturb marine life and can cause sedimentation. Based on background behind this, efforts are needed to monitor the distribution of Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) on the coast of Malang using Terra Modis . satellite imagery and also sampling in the field directly, namely on the coast of Malang. By using remote sensing technology from the Terra MODIS satellite, which later it can be used as a database in the field of Civil Engineering in planning and construction of a water structure such as a pier or harbor. Data from satellite imagery with the help of the SeaDAS application. Processed data is data in 2016 – 2020, with wavelengths of 412nm, 531nm, 645nm. For data TDS with 412nm wavelength Linear equation with algorithm model TDS = 54560x + 669.33 R2 value = 0.0594 and correlation value R = 0.46683 which can be means that the positive correlation is. Keywords: Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), TERRA MODIS, Mapping, Malang
