Abstract

A building must be designed to be able to withstand the existing loads so that meet building safety standards. But on implementation In the field, many buildings are found with vertical irregularities such as mechanisms soft story and setback. Existence of beam elimination (beams at a discontinuous level) caused by openings in certain span plates can also reduce column stiffness, which can result in soft levels. Level The software that occurs is called the partial soft story, which only exists only a few columns are taller and have less stiffness in spans where the plate is removed. This research uses the Capacity Spectrum method Method (CSM) is a method to get the displacement of the structure with using pushover analysis. From the results of the analysis obtained the value of building ductility in the X and Y directions of 4.54 and 4.52 and after the soft story floor the value of is strengthened the ductility of the building in the X and Y directions is 4.49 and 4.51. These results describe the building structure is in a state of soft story and non-soft story in a stable state in receiving earthquake loads. The displacement target obtained in the X and directions Y is 0.451 m and 0.453 m and after the soft story floor is strengthened the target displacement in the X and Y directions of 0.447 m and 0.452 m and the level of performance at both directions produce Immediate Occupancy (IO) performance levels and after floor the soft story is reinforced with a fixed performance level at the Immediate Occupancy (IO) level at both directions.
