Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced people to change their habits and behavior in transactions from cash payments to non-cash (cashless). The cashless transaction method in the current pandemic is very functional to minimize the spread of Covid-19 from cash transactions. Based on the problem then a vending machine will be developed that no longer uses banknotes/metals but using a QR (Quick Response) Code that integrated with Android-based smartphones as a replacement tool cashless payments by implementing the Vigenere algorithm Vi for the security system on the QR Code at the time of payment. On vending apps machine where the user can select the menu contained in the application. After that, the user will be given a QR Code consisting of payment data with encryption to be scanned to the vending machine and scanner on The vending machine will decrypt to get the data that. The results of system testing starting from logging in, registering, displaying menu, menu selection, menu payment, Scan QR Code from the Application side, Scan QR Code from the Scanner side and the logout test shows the appropriate results expected by the author.
