Abstract
Indonesia is a country that refuses to sign and does not ratify the FCTC, even though there are many opinions and wishes from various parties concerned about the environment and health that have asked the government to ratify the FCTC. The related situation in domestic politics is the reason the government does not ratify the agreement. The essence of the research objective to be achieved is to explain the domestic political situation in Indonesia which affects the government to decide not to sign and ratify the FCTC, even though since the beginning of the preparation of the FCTC Indonesia was also directly involved in the preparation of the agreement and became one of the 20 countries that became a member of the committee. formulation.
