Abstract
Bali Island is known as an island that has a strong culture and various type of arts. This island is very famous both as domestic and international destination. Bali Island has good potential as a means of developing art that can cover the international market, where Balinese or Indonesian artists currently lack the facilities to be able to present their work to all local and foreign tourists. In fact, modern art streams such as contemporary Indonesia can be developed especially on Bali. The International Contemporary Art Gallery in Bali is planned to being able to revive Indonesian art on an international scale. This gallery also aims to reintroduce original Indonesian or foreign art to the younger generation and the whole world community. This design seeks to introduce to the wider community and tourists about authentic Indonesian contemporary art. The result that will be achieved at the end of the design is to produce the building of the International Contemporary Art Gallery in Bali into a symbolic building that symbolizes Indonesian contemporary art as well as an educational medium in exhibiting works and means of introducing Indonesian contemporary art abroad.
