Abstract

Red chili (Capsicum annum L.) in Indonesia has an important part as vegatable and herbs which is inseparable of indonesian dish. The Increase of human needs and can be "decrease"of land productivity on holticultural plants and food, then needed some efficient technology to increase the production of red chili. The variety of red chili cultivation technology can be done by applying the plant growth regulator and humat acid as organic matter for physical improvement, chemistry and biological soil character. This study aimed to determine the effect of two type plant growth regulator and the dosage of slow relase fertilizer on the growth and production of red chili. The research was conducted at KarangWungu Hamlet, Kenanten Village, Puri District, Mojokerto Regency in Januari – April 2020. The study used complety randomized factorial design within two factors, namely type plant growth regulator (Z) which consist Z0 = control, Z1 = Paclobutrazol, Z2 = Giberelin and dosage slow release fertilizer (P) which consist P0 = without humat acid 450 kg/ha, P1 = 250 kg/ha, P2 = 350 kg/ha, P3 = 450 kg/ha. The result revealed that the combination treatment between the type of plant growth regulator and slow release fertilizer had a significant effect on the vegetative observation (number of leaves) and generative (early flowering). The combination of Z0P3 (PGR gibberellin type and dosage slow release fertilizer 450 kg/ha) gave the best result. Keywords : Red chili, Type, Plant growth regulator, Dosage, Slow release fertilizer.
