Abstract

Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens, L.) is a vegetable commodity that It has high economic value and contains lots of nutrients and vitamins. Needs society and the development of industry is not in line with the production and The productivity of cayenne pepper is still relatively low due to the application of cultivation inappropriate and the availability of nutrients is decreasing so that cause plant deficiency. As a determinant of success by providing compound NPK fertilizers and micro foliar fertilizers for obtain optimum results in the growth of cayenne pepper plants. Research This study aims to determine the interaction that occurs between the application of NPK fertilizer compound and micro foliar fertilizers and get a dose of compound NPK fertilizer and the best micro foliar fertilizer for plant growth and yield Cayenne pepper. This research was conducted in Kemuning Village, Tarik District, Sidoarjo Regency, planted with polybags in January 2020 – July 2020. This study uses a factorial experiment which is based on Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors and repeated three times time. The first factor is Compound NPK Fertilizer which consists of 4 levels of treatment and the second factor is Micro Leaf Fertilizer which consists of 3 treatment levels. Result The research shows that there is no interaction between the application of NPK Fertilizer Compound and Micro Leaf Fertilizer on the growth and yield of chili plants cayenne. Treatment of Compound NPK Fertilizer 450 kg/ha can increase increase in the number of fruit by 49.11 fruit and Micro Leaf Fertilizer 2 g/plant can increase fruit weight gain by 21.32%.
