Abstract

Water as important resources who needs in every various society activities for the living so the presence of water is very necessary needed. Population growth in Indonesia especially in big city has encourage improvement the need for environtment. That makes emerge problem in environtment sanitation. Research “Effectivity of Biocoagulant to Decrease Suspended Solid for Domestic Waste” using trembesi seeds as biocoagulant, alum and FeCl3 as chemical coagulant with concentration of main coagulant 200 ppm, stirring at jartest with speed of stirring 200 rpm in 60 seconds and 40 ppm in 20 minutes From this research obtained variation of pH (range of acid, base, and neutral) with coagulant dose 32mg/l, 40mg/l, 56mg/l, 64mg/l dan 72mg/l take effect in this research. TSS decrease until 79,51% using biocoagulant, meanwhile in Alumunium Sulfat decrease until 88,68% and Ferry Chloride 92,02%. Comparison of coagulant needs to find out effectivity of biocoagulant Keyword : Biocoagulant, Coagulation, Domestic Waste
