Abstract

Financial Technology in recent years has become popular among the public because digital technology is growing and can be combined with the economic sector. The convenience offered by fintech causes the shifting of people's preferences towards the payment system they use. Initially, the community made cash transactions and now began trying non-cash transactions with the fintech industry and the application of fintech-based products by the banking sector which began to be widespread among the people. Every year the number of banking products, CBPI or Card-Based Payment Instruments in circulation is increasing. That can be caused by knowledge about fintech and the preference for non-cash transactions that possessed by the public so they choose to use banking services in the form of CBPIs. This research aims to find out the effect of Financial Technology Knowledge and Non-Cash Transaction Preferences with the Decision to Use Banking Services Products in the form of CBPIs. This research was conducted in the city of Surabaya and used primary data obtained through questionnaires. The test method used is Partial Least Square or PLS using the SmartPLS3 application. From the results in this research obtained a Path Model which shows that Financial Technology Knowledge and Non-Cash Transaction Preferences positively affect the Decision to Use Banking Services Products with each path coefficients of 0.340 and 0.352. Keywords: Financial Technology, Preferences, Cashless Payment, Card-Based Payment Instruments
